Experience makes a difference! Under the same ownership since its establishment in 1981, Madison River Outfitters sets the standard for professionalism and service for guided fly fishing. For the MRO guide staff, service means working hard, with patience and determination, to show our guests a productive and memorable day of fishing. Our outfitter and most senior guide each have more than 25 years of experience guiding and outfitting fly fishing trips in Montana and Yellowstone Park.
On our guide staff, we have professional fly tiers, certified fly casting instructors and guides who spend their off seasons guiding winter tours in Yellowstone Park and fly fishing trips in South America. All share a love for the sport of fly fishing and a strong desire to share their expertise and enthusiasm with the great people we have been guiding to the best fishing in the Yellowstone area over the past 27 years.
We offer two types of guided fly fishing trips. Our guided float trips in drift boats on the Madison River are a great way to cover miles of productive water. Guided walk and wade trips in Yellowstone National Park and on the Madison and Gallatin Rivers are a great way to learn the waters from an expert guide.
We require a $150 deposit for each reservation. Your deposit is refundable if you decide to cancel up to 7 days prior to date of your trip. To confirm your space, deposits must be received within 14 days of the date your reservation is made. Delicious lunches, beverages and transportation to and from the river are included in our guide fees.
